About this artwork
"Monomorphus - T.01" can be leaned against the wall like a sculpture or hung vertically or horizontally like a picture. Instead of a canvas, aluminum spans a specially manufactured, solid wooden frame.
The structured surface and the 8 cm deep, structured side parts are riveted to the wooden frame 600 hundred times over the entire length and width. By riveting, the front is slightly arched at the edges and visibly increases the clamping force inherent… in this workpiece. The side parts are just as massive and form the whole into a "monolith". The final seal with white ink is hand-polished several times. Thanks to the natural oxide layer of the aluminum, the shine is permanently retained and the polished structures reflect the color mood of the surroundings.
The picture sculpture weighs 12 kg, is signed on the front and back with the initials cR and also dated on the back.
