About this artwork
The original image - taken in May 2017 - was embedded in a sculptural frame made of pure aluminum in October 2023.
The open test of strength between frame and picture lifts both of them beyond their objective appearance - opens up a new scope of time.
The competition between sculpture and picture multiplies its effectiveness in combination with "The Frame and The Painting - no.1"
The work is signed on the front on the… underside of the frame with the initials cR and also dated on the back.
The colors of the picture consist of a mixture of oil paint, ink, pigments and resin. The frame is hand formed from pure aluminum.
An integrated hanging device enables easy and safe installation of the wall object, which weighs approximately 3.5 kg.

« My rather unconventional technique arises from the intention to let the change of the material to the work flow freely. »
The free use of one's own resources is the fundamental creative disposition in Robausch's work.
His techniques and use of materials are also peculiar.
Standing outside the traditional art world, Robausch goes and thinks in an open and unsupported way.
Sculptures, wall objects and relief-like panel paintings are created entirely from within the individual.
Robausch also likes to rework his own works from earlier times, deforming and retuning them.
The translation of the mood of his physical works into digital, animated works sometimes seems strangely alien.
Currently, his original, very material-oriented working method is unfolding again with the "Future Origin" series.
The unpredictable immediacy seems to shine through these enigmatic, relief-like panel paintings.
