About this artwork
A massive, load-bearing basic structure (recycled plastic with glass fiber reinforcement) is covered, glued and riveted all around with hand-formed aluminum fields that are joined together like scales. The final treatment with black ink and multiple hand polishing create a lively armored skin that evokes mystical associations.
Due to the natural oxide layer of the aluminum, the object is corrosion-resistant and weatherproof.… The black ink patina is also weatherproof. This wall sculpture is therefore suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Three strong eye plates allow easy, secure suspension and give the sculpture a floating character at a distance of 2.5 cm from the wall. Due to the massive construction, the wall sculpture can also be leaned against the wall or suspended from the ceiling.
Weighs approx. 4 kg and is signed with the initials cR.

« My rather unconventional technique arises from the intention to let the change of the material to the work flow freely. »
The free use of one's own resources is the fundamental creative disposition in Robausch's work.
His techniques and use of materials are also peculiar.
Standing outside the traditional art world, Robausch goes and thinks in an open and unsupported way.
Sculptures, wall objects and relief-like panel paintings are created entirely from within the individual.
Robausch also likes to rework his own works from earlier times, deforming and retuning them.
The translation of the mood of his physical works into digital, animated works sometimes seems strangely alien.
Currently, his original, very material-oriented working method is unfolding again with the "Future Origin" series.
The unpredictable immediacy seems to shine through these enigmatic, relief-like panel paintings.
