Christoph Schreins Arbeit befasst sich mit dem sublimen Raum in der Malerei.
Aus den Einflüssen im Spannungsfeld von Tachismus, New British Scupture, bis hin zur aktuellen Strömungen Generativer Kunst hat er ein Bildsprache entwickelt, die ihre Position in der zeitgenössischen abstrakten Malerei gefunden hat.
Schicht um Schicht werden malerischen Gesten überlagert und sich so der Bildfindung… angenähert. In dem sie einen Dialog fordert und keine Antworten gibt, formuliert sie eine Fragestellung zum inneren Wesens der Malerei und gibt einen subjektiven Erfahrungsraum frei.
Es sind Gedanken, Landschaften, physikalische Nicht-Räume, die sich in wellenförmigen Farbströmen und flieender Bewegung zu einer komplexen Bildkomposition vereinen.
