Traces of water, echoes of earth — a landscape both ancient and intimate.
“Mineral Memory” is a large, textured mixed media painting (100 x 100 cm) where the intense blue of an inner sea emerges from rusted, time-worn terrain. Created using real rust, pigments, texture pastes, and metallic elements, this piece evokes the memory of an ancient landscape — geological, sacred, and meditative.
The blue appears as a body of water resurfacing from beneath… the earth, carrying with it echoes of something timeless and essential. Gold beads, oxidized crusts, and subtle crackling reinforce the sense of a mineral map, a place suspended between dream and erosion.
Blue represents depth and serenity in my work, while rust and earthy pigments speak of transformation, decay, and beauty through time. This visual tension becomes a sensory meditation — on what we bury, what resurfaces, and what endures.
Framed in a light wood floating frame, this artwork becomes a living presence.
