Claire Lassonnery is a French painter and pharmacist who has developed a unique contemporary lacquer practice, which she learned in Vietnam and perfected between Asia and France. Her technique combines the tradition of lacquer and impasto, using layering, polishing, and sculpture to shape living surfaces where light is embodied and dialogues with the material.
