About this artwork
My Rain art series is a personal reflection of my time living in Singapore, where the monsoon season brought me comfort and peace. The heavy rains and warm days allowed me to slow down, reflect on life, and connect with nature. Through my abstract landscapes in acrylic and oil, I aim to capture the emotions of release, healing, and serenity that come with these experiences. My artwork is an invitation to step into the calm and tranquility of a rainy… day, and to find solace in the rhythms of nature.
Dublin native Clare Schouten, a BA in Fine Art graduate, skillfully plays with texture and expressive mediums like oil paint, pastels, and acrylics. Her vibrant abstract and semi-abstract interpretations of landscapes infuse her work with tranquility and meditative serenity, achieved through emotionally intuitive layers, marks, and experimental textures. Her compositions exude peace and wonder, fostering emotional healing and a profound connection to nature.
