Clarisse Daurat is a self-taught painter who recently developed a passion for oil painting with a palette knife. Dividing her time between the Ardèche mountains, the Alps, and Lyon, she uses this unique technique to create landscapes of nature and cities, oscillating between abstraction and figuration. She often starts with black and white photographs, freely recomposing the colors. She seeks to capture the light and ever-changing emotions of nature, inviting the viewer to feel the intensity, poetry, and vibrancy of each landscape they contemplate.
A member of the Lyon Academy of Painting and of Carmina Lyon, an association of women painters and sculptors from Lyon, she participates in numerous salons and exhibitions.
