About this artwork
Ears of corn were the first symbol I thought of to represent Nature, in correlation with bread and rice: the basis of food in the world. The reason why I like ears of corn so much that I created some works is because of their structure, strong and determined to survive the wind, the heat or the drought. They swing and rise towards the sky almost touching the infinite. They know they have an important task, and in the end, before saying goodbye to… their short life, they give their nourishment, knowing that they will leave a new seed and that they will be born again. A multi-material work that represents Nature in a modern way with warm colors and brush strokes of metallic orange that are enhanced by the light. between summer and autumn. Through the “groove” technique, the strength of Nature emerges.
Claudia Amadesi blends multi-material techniques and a passion for nature in her material and minimalist works, transmitting fearless courage in artistic exploration. The works stand out for their ability to play with light, modify matter and use it as a tool to deconstruct and rework reality, transporting the observer into a spiritual dimension. The boundaries with reality become blurred, allowing us to glimpse in each work the fruit of the visceral and interior impulse, grit that characterizes expressive artistic research through the “groove” technique. It is a tale of emotions and sensations, a journey into the depths of the soul. The matter, in her hands, becomes dynamic, comes to life in space, creating plays of light and shadow that amplify the visual experience, an invitation to a profound dialogue between the visible and the invisible, between emotion and matter.
