About this artwork
One of her favourite memories of the sea in the evening is of the gathering storm out at sea. There are reflections of light from the moon and the deep dark colours of an agitated water. Fortunately she did not see many of these amazing nights during my vacations in the Mediterranean, but the ones that she saw cemented the colour imagery. Actually one of her first and favourite painting was a scene of a stormy sea. Basically it started her career…
in painting and it was always well admired. It is one that she will never sell and this is an extension of that memorable first painting.
