About this artwork
In this work, I used watercolor over digital illustration to explore the intimate connection between self-love and self-care. I wanted to convey how self-acceptance is a powerful, everyday act, represented in a surreal and figurative way. When you view it, you'll feel a sweet and comforting energy, a visual reminder of the importance of nurturing ourselves from within with tenderness and respect.

Cris Valencia is a multidisciplinary artist based in Spain whose works have been exhibited nationally and in France. Through her art, she reflects upon issues that surround humanity, including people's internal natures as well as their relationships. In addition, Valencia's pieces also contain autobiographical elements. Her diverse compositons are marked by her use of soft aesthetics, warm pastel tones, and bold content.
