About this artwork
“What remains unseen is what compels my creation.”
Memories No.7 Trinity reflects Ujuan’s long-standing fascination with the double pyramid, a symbol of divine intelligence inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. The luminous pyramids, radiating celestial energy, symbolize the unity of the physical and spiritual realms. A dramatic explosion of light emerges at the center. Set against an eclipse and reflected by the serene sea below,… it signals both an ending and a beginning, quietly amplifying the concept of divine intelligence. Rendered in a meditative palette of Prussian Blue, Viridian Green, and White Lead, this work invites viewers to transcend the ordinary and enter a space of contemplation and wonder. As part of the Memories series—a finite collection of only nine works—this painting served as a key inspiration for the conceptual development of Ujuan’s subsequent New Triptych series.
