About this artwork
I created this painting in 2009 after four trips to India. Indian scriptures, the Bhagavadgita, and Indian cultural heritage made a great impression on me. So the motifs and details somewhat reflect Eastern philosophy and worldview. second layer - flowering branches of old Lithuanian apple-trees, among which birds chirp and protect their nests... I painted them with rich strokes, with many shades and nuances - the Apple-Tree and the Bird in the Lithuanian folk tradition are sacred. The old cultures of India and Lithuania originated from one Indo-European root.
