About this artwork
Blending abstract and symbolic forms with acrylic to evoke struggle and redemption. The three nails stand as powerful anchors amid a turbulent, fiery background, embodying pain transformed into hope. This painting will bring a profound sense of resilience and intense energy to your space, inspiring reflection and strength every time you look at it.
Damian Ebejer Raoul is a Maltese artist who works with painting, mural art, sculpture, and poetry, developing his craft since his first solo exhibition in 1994. His style ranges from abstract expressionism to realism. He has also been commissioned to create murals and painted ceilings in the Italian neo-Classical and Baroque influences. His works often blend complex, entangled forms and vibrant colour harmonies to discover order within chaos. Ebejer’s work is a deeply introspective journey, aiming to evoke profound beauty and personal fulfillment beyond external reality, reflecting a quest for self-discovery and emotional resonance. Damian's latest solo exhibition entitled Butterfly was successfully held in December 2025. This was his 20th solo expo to date. He is now working on new approaches towards his paintings whilst remaining unattached to repetitive concepts.
