About this artwork
In Africa, it is the belief that women are inferior to men, due to the insignificant amount of freedom the society has made available for them - by subduing them to the act of statement like "a woman place is in the home"
this piece preaches the other side of women that needed to be explored. it explains the roles of being a caretaker, educator, and entrepreneur. However, the central role of women in Africa society is to ensure stability, progress,… and long-term development of the nation. this explains why women in our society must be educated because they're the symbol of empowerment.
Africa queen epitomizes pride and honor women of the nation, and it depcit self-esteem. the crown represents pride while the necklace speakers honor.
« I believe the best way to express myself and how I feel to the world is through my craft. »
