About this artwork
Tidal Ascent” explores the fragile boundary between emergence and dissolution. Figures rise through a submerged, eroded world where gesture, sedimented color, and fractured light coexist in a state of perpetual transformation. The bodies appear not simply painted, but revealed—pulled forward from layers of time, memory, and water.
The work captures a moment of ascent that is both physical and metaphysical: a resurfacing of presence through turbulence.… Within the dense, weathered textures, the figures breathe against the shifting currents, asserting their form while remaining inseparable from the fluid environment that shapes them.
