About this artwork
In this work, I captured the vibrant essence of a bustling marina at low tide. Using oils for their rich color, I adopted an impressionistic style to depict the sailboats dancing on the tranquil water. The bold brushstrokes and vivid color choices evoke a sense of freedom and escape. Every element, from the open sky to the distant mountains, invites a moment of contemplative peace, bringing a touch of blue serenity to any space.
Daniel Giacchi, based in France, began his artistic journey with pastels and watercolors before turning to oils. Adopting contemporary figurative techniques, he paints primarily with spatulas, captivating the play of color and light to explore chromatic intensity. Inspired by music, the sea, and his travels, his works express his moods and his joy in painting, inviting the viewer to share this pleasure.
