About this artwork

Small self-portrait to reach for the moon, acrylic on canvas, 2020. This small painting carries a story. Following the invitation of Dan Jacobson, leader of the Maxi-realist group, in the Salon Comparaisons, at Art Capital, at the Grand Palais, in Paris in 2020, I created this one. Intended to be present in the gallery of small formats of this show, to accompany the large format exhibited in this group: "the touch of love", visible in this series.… Coming out of a period of joint exploration of abstraction/figuration of a freer style, when I had finished this small painting, a click occurred in me, long in doubt, I understood my capacity to work to evolve my painting. Apart from the works presented in this series, all the paintings that I offer here, result from this questioning. This painting, sold last year, at the Salon d'Automne, Place de la Concorde in Paris, is in a private collection, in Italy.
