About this artwork
Over the past few years, I have painted a considerable number of pictures to the music of Chico Freeman, a saxophone player from Chicago.
Together we developed the project "Never played, never seen, never heard".
Chico Freeman and his band "Exotica" play jazz in Church. The band includes percussionist Reto Weber and bassist Heiri Känzig.
The band performs their musical compositions and I paint pictures live to the music. The entire concert was… recorded and can be viewed on YouTube.
