About this artwork
In my work I play with acrylic paints in a way that combines both abstract and semi-abstract elements. The interlocking lines and dark spots create a sense of movement and emotional depth. It is about the complexity of human emotions and relationships, represented in a jumble of lines that simultaneously express chaos and order, hardness and fragility. This painting is intended to inspire the viewer to discover the beauty in the imperfect and unpredictable.

Daniel Witschkanow began as a painter, photographer and draftsman in Amberg and later honed his craftsmanship under Adrian Dika in Erlangen. Witschkanow combines at least two techniques in his magical works; the dynamism of acrylic glaze techniques and the mysterious uniqueness of watercolors flow into each picture. Each of his portraits reflects different emotions, from shocking drama to airy lightness, and always inspires thought.
