About this artwork
Human Rights is a work that affirms the value of individual freedom and the right to exist, choose, and express oneself. The vibrant colors and assembled elements create an energetic field in which identity, gestures, and human traces coexist. Inside the work, I hid my expired voter ID card: a symbol both intimate and universal, recalling the right to participate, to be recognized, to have a voice. The work thus becomes a visual manifesto on dignity… and fundamental rights, an invitation to remember what makes us human and citizens.
Daniela Bellofiore is a visual artist who transforms matter into rebirth. Self-taught and a multi-media artist, she works with collages, three-dimensional assemblages, textured works, mixed media, and original techniques such as Volumetric Photography and Painting Volumetry. Her research explores the regeneration of matter and the potential of fragments: every scrap becomes a source, every remnant a new form. Through cuts and layering, she creates surfaces between painting and sculpture. Alongside her artistic production, she also engages in educational activities that value mistakes as a creative space.
