Daniele Duranti uses painting, drawing, and writing, drawing on his academic training in the theory and techniques of mass communication. His technique oscillates between instinctive gestures and conceptual reflections, in a style defined as "conceptual expressionism," in which opposites interact and merge, using oxymoron and paradox as a glue. His works are rich in intertwined narratives, evoking profound emotions that connect past and future. They invite the viewer to question the social and metaphorical dynamics of communication, while also proposing visual scenarios where chaos, against all odds, coexists with order and calm, and where beauty takes on new and unprecedented forms. The visionary universe thus becomes a metaphor for the contemporary, and abstraction becomes one of the many ways to attempt to understand the present.
