About this artwork
The beautiful French Opal Coast where I have been last summer inspired me partly for this painting, the base layer is home-made tempera and beeswax, then with oil paint to create the depth, various techniques such as with tempera give the bottom layer a transparent look, the very large Chinese brush gives the movement, the beeswax for structure
