About this artwork
In my painting "Blue Swimmers," I portray blue crabs on a white plate adorned with a traditional Ukrainian pattern. This piece symbolizes the merging of my Ukrainian heritage with my new life in Thailand. While the crabs represent the Asian environment I now find myself in, the Ukrainian pattern serves as a reminder of my roots.
The painting captures the essence of my journey, depicting the adaptation and resilience required when embracing a new… culture and environment. It's a reflection of the changes and growth that accompany such a transition.
"Blue Swimmers" is more than just a representation of crustaceans on a plate; it's a visual expression of the blend of cultures and experiences that shape my identity as an artist living in Thailand.
I am a Ukrainian artist, holding a bachelor's degree in Cultural Events Directing from Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. Furthering my passion for art, I pursued Contemporary Art at the Kyiv Academy of Media Arts. Since 2013, art has been my full-time dedication. I am portraying the delicate harmony between terrestrial flora and the enigmatic depths of aquatic fauna. My work goes beyond the surface, exploring the subconscious and the intertwined connection between humanity and nature. Deeply personal, my art is a reflection of my own life experiences, shaping the narratives and emotions embedded in work. This personal influence adds layers of depth, making each piece a unique exploration of my evolving identity.
