About this artwork
"Art is not a study of positive reality, it is the seeking for ideal truth."
This quote by George Sand captures the essence of my exploration of monochrome paintings in this series. I am not interested in simply depicting the world as it is. Instead, I am seeking to create paintings that evoke a sense of calm and tranquility, and that express my own unique vision of the world.
I am drawn to monochrome paintings for their simplicity and elegance.… They allow me to focus on the essential elements of a composition, such as form, line, and texture. I also enjoy the challenge of working with a limited palette. It forces me to be more creative and to think more carefully about my choices.
This acrylic painting features thick, textured paint in a positive and energetic palette. It is a decorative piece that would be perfect for a modern or classic environment. The painting is stretched on a high-quality gallery-wrapped frame.
