About this artwork
In this new series, I explore abstract expression through blue shapes.
Blue, the color of depth and serenity, is central to my work and complementary to my first series.
The compositions invite contemplation and introspection, playing with nuances and textures, evoking emotions and inner sensations.
Each form, whether fluid or geometric, is designed to interact with the space and elicit a personal reaction in the viewer.
David Decourcelle is a visual artist from Hauts de France. A graduate of the Amiens Higher School of Art and Design, he obtained the Higher National Diploma in Plastic Expression in 2002.
David quickly established his unique artistic and graphic style. His work is characterized by the creation of minimalist ink portraits on a monochrome blue background.
Through his creations, the artist explores recurring themes such as questions of identity, the gaze and otherness.
His work has been exhibited in numerous group and individual exhibitions in France and Spain.
