About this artwork
This work emerged from an experimental and intuitive process in which I consciously relinquished control to allow room for chance.
The basis for this work was a self-developed tool: a cup filled with water, paint, and small pieces of sponge was frozen. While frozen, I used this object directly on the canvas. During the process, the ice slowly began to melt, causing the colors to dissolve and blend unpredictably.
The resulting structures are not… planned, but rather the result of a fluid transition – between solid and liquid, control and letting go. The sponge acts as both a support and an uncontrollable element, creating organic forms and vibrant textures.
This work represents transformation, transience, and the moment of creation – captured in a form that can neither be fully controlled nor repeated.
