About this artwork
Original acrylic painting on canvas. The artist has lived and worked in New York professionally as a freelancer as a scenographic muralist painter for 10 years. The painting was designed to give the optical illusion of opening space once installed inside a room . The artist has carefully chosen a view in which he could incorporate the most famous skyscrapers of the city seen in an accidental perspective from the top of a panoramic terrace at sunset.… The painting of the painting was made to increase the bright and opaque appearance. In the additional images, photos of the painting were inserted during the processing phases; then the completed panel installed in the room; then the positive comments written on the guest book from various countries of Europe and the world. Finally, the photo of the article in the newspaper on the artist's biography.
Signed and dated on the front. Currently under restoration.
« Knowing how to create a space, studying a light that can enhance the work of shapes and colors that would otherwise be an end in itself. »
He graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna, Italy, in 1987. In 2002 he moved to New York, where he remained for 10 years. In the Big Apple, he continued to work professionally as a successful Trompe l'Oeil and easel painter. Upon returning to Italy, he resumed painting assiduously, using a little-known but highly appreciated ink-on-canvas technique with a strong impact. In January 2024, an article on the artist's biography was published in the New York magazine "Zone NY Magazine," which covers artistic and cultural events in that city. Since 2024, he has been part of the Horizon Paris 8eme association, based in Paris, which is made up of a small group of international artists; through Horizon Paris 8eme, the artist has participated in successful group exhibitions in prestigious galleries and venues in the city of Paris.
