And what am I doing here,
here where people are increasingly evil,
sitting at this table where everyone knows everything
where we eat without hunger.
This endless thunderous celebration
beautiful and happy always
they laugh without knowing why,
and I, who am afraid even of myself,
of my loneliness among people.
This out of tune choir that sings
filling the streets, my boredom
-I don't care-.
There is a strange senseless fatigue
with… which we get dirty
come in slowly
day by day
sun in sun
night after night.
We console ourselves
why don't we understand that we change
reflected in us
further and further away
we forget who we are,
and yet we knew how to play,
and yet we knew nothing
but we were able to dream.

Davide Romano', a graduate of Cantù F. Melotti, is an eclectic exponent of expressionist figurative art, with references to masters such as Picasso and Klimt.
