About this artwork
"Model to the Camera" series. This photograph was taken during a performance in the windows of brothels in Brussels. The performance artist, in the role of the model, invites artists, primarily men, to join her in the window. This photograph, staged by Deborah de Robertis, reflects her exploration of the model's gaze, a theme present throughout her work. From the outset, the artist has asserted the "motherhood" of her works and fought for the rights…
