Demetra Garbasevschi is a painter convert. After providentially studying academic realism under Michael John Angel at the Angel Academy of Art, she saw the light and surrendered with unwavering devotion. Her canvases are a playful dissection of human nature: part vanity fair, part existential wink. She is both a believer and a heretic, obsessing over minute details, worshipping the process, yet never taking the whole spectacle too seriously.
