Demian Jevremovic is a contemporary figurative and portrait artist living and working in Montreal, Canada, whose preferred media are graphite pencils and oil paints. Through mirrors, models or photos, his drawings and paintings reveal an interest in realism and a keen eye for details. Beauty and authenticity are the ideals that inspire him most, and he has no intention of shocking or unsettling the viewer. Many of his drawings and paintings are portraits of family members where capturing their likeness is difficult yet always rewarding. Others are still lives. He studied under the tutelage of Daniel Brient, recipient of a dozen honors and awards, and, thereafter, under Eric Mannella, recipient of an MFA cum laude from the New York Academy of Art.
