About this artwork
I strive to create works that move emotions and stimulate the imagination, drawing on knowledge and skills in the psychophysiology of vision, art history, and painting and drawing technology. I painted the second painting between March and May 2022, at the time when the war in Ukraine began — the day after returning from Kyiv. I was overwhelmed by chaos and adrenaline: dozens of phone calls with family and friends, sending and receiving messages, wondering what the right thing to do was, what to do at all.
