Der Poeck is a self-taught painter, strongly influenced by his artistic family and early experiments. He works with unconscious and intuitive techniques, his paintings emerging only in moments of mental clarity – influenced by C.G. Jung and characterized by expressionistic-abstract elements. His works express existential emptiness, disillusionment, and yet a glimmer of hope that emotionally challenges the viewer.
