About this artwork
In this piece, I explored the fluid dance between abstraction and surrealism using acrylic and oil to create a vibrant, futuristic realm. I wanted to capture a sense of evolving energy and emotion, where shapes and colors play in harmony against an expansive horizon. This painting will infuse your space with a dynamic tension and dreamlike depth, inviting endless contemplation and inspiring your imagination to wander freely.
Dina Volkova is a Moscow-born, American painter and printmaker, trained at the Moscow Pedagogical University, who infuses her works with a unique sense of warmth and attentiveness shaped by her cross-cultural background. She employs spontaneous ballpoint pen sketches, letting subconscious lines and movement emerge before forming structure, creating painterly “maps” from chaos. Her style harmonizes space through bursts of color, line, and tone, seeking to bring order and light. Volkova’s artworks convey a gentle, ironic sensitivity and evoke a deep yearning for connection between the visible and the invisible worlds.
