The images in this series invite us to take a new look at our everyday visual language. They make us aware of the formal language and symbolism that we are confronted with and possibly influenced by on a daily basis. Aesthetically, they live from… the surprising combination of numbers and words, ornaments and symbols, abstraction and figuration. In this sense, they are symbols of postmodernism.

Djawid C. Borower is an internationally renowned artist whose work is exhibited in galleries, museums and biennials around the world. Djawid studied art and philosophy and combines these two fundamental approaches to seeing the world. His work is both painterly and intellectual.
In 1997 he celebrated his first successes with his "Pictures of Money", which were exhibited in American museums. These early works marked the beginning of his artistic engagement with social and cultural issues. Other series followed in which he reflected profoundly on our culture, on God and the world. Over the years his work has become increasingly more colorful and gestural, reflecting a constant evolution of his artistic expression. In his current cycle "Beyond Impressionism" he deals with the philosophy of Impressionism in language and painting.
