About this artwork
CAVALLO depicts a stylized, horse-like creature in a reduced formal language, defying easy categorization. The abstraction of the form liberates the figure from a mere representation of an animal. The rough, almost archaic texture of the concrete stands in direct contrast to the serene grace of the pose, creating a tension. CAVALLO exudes a deeply contemplative, almost meditative aura, characteristic of most of my work.
