About this artwork
It is with clay soil that I recovered from a construction site, in order to make a kind of clay mask.
It's an expression, with a crumbly soil that is difficult to knead.
It's uncooked, the work dries.
It's a childish expression, made with minimal financial resources.

Dominick Poulain uses oil paint, dry pastels, collage, clay, colored pencils, and photography, drawing on her eclectic training and international exhibitions. Her technique blends a free figurative style in oil painting with documentary realism in photography, inspired by outsider art, Impressionism, and Picasso. Through her works, she infuses a vibrant energy, raw sincerity, and a palpable optimism, touching the viewer with an authentic and lasting emotion.
