About this artwork
The artist likes to work his works of art with a multitude of colors while arranging them in a harmonious way. In her series of imaginary landscapes, she likes to start her canvas with a spray of colors in the wash which reveals interesting shapes, "happy accidents" as she likes to call them. She allows herself to make her composition from that. Acrylic and structural mortar are used in this abstract landscape painting. The collage of Japanese paper…
is one of his favorite materials. Here she has, for the first time, made collages of her original drawings printed on paper and integrated into the composition of her work. A protective varnish is applied to the canvas and the sides are painted in acrylic black.

Dominique Desmeules is a Canadian artist who has exhibited her works nationally, as well as in China, Argentina, Turkey, Singapore, Australia, Japan, the United States, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Italy. Being a gardening enthusiast and having composed and arranged her own garden, she describes the floral theme in her art as gradually imposing itself. Desmeules' landscapes also play with colors, which carry a primordial role and enables free movement. She creates using acrylics and collage on canvas.
