I captured this image inside Dafni Psychiatric Hospital, where a door left slightly ajar allowed coloured light to enter the darkness.
For me, the doorway is a threshold between confinement and freedom. The light becomes a symbol of hope—something that moves beyond both physical and psychological barriers.
This multi-awarded image reflects my personal journey toward freedom, while inviting a broader reflection… on the need for spaces where healing and hope can exist.
