About this artwork
In this painting, I've employed a symphony of geometric shapes to capture a moment of introspection and nighttime solitude. Using acrylics, I layered shades of blue and black to fashion an almost crystal-like texture, mirroring the complexity and fragility of human emotions. This artwork embodies the quiet, reflective moments of life, bringing a sense of peace and depth to any space it inhabits.

« It took me four years to paint like Rafael, but I've been learning all my life to paint like a child. »
Dorota Kwiatkowska is an artist based in Poland whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. She usually paints people based on earlier sketches (created on a computer, tablet, or paper). Her work is not limited to the motif of women and men — she creates series of artworks to tell a story. In a geometric way, she tries to "narrate" it. Since her school days (she is an interior designer by education), she has continued designing. Mixing styles allows her to keep exploring and discovering new aspects of art. She also enjoys painting drapery, light, and shadow, as they bring an abstract element to her works. These geometric textiles are not always immediately visible at first glance.
