About this artwork
I poured vibrant energy into this acrylic piece, using abstract expressionism to capture the dynamic pulse of future cities—alive, interconnected, and thriving. The swirling colors and fragmented cityscapes reflect hope and innovation, inviting the viewer to feel the rhythm of progress. This painting brings a lively, inspiring vibe to any space, sparking imagination and optimism about the smart, healthy urban worlds ahead.
This painting is part… of my Smart City Art series, which celebrates smart city technology and sustainability. This series was featured at the 2025 SRI Sustainability Research and Innovation International Congress in June. The science is already here. This work speaks artistically and sociologically.
I am a bestselling polymath painter. My floral art is based on actual medical/scientific studies on health and happiness. In 2024, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine interviewed me for my “happy” art and my book, 100 Days Of Happy Happy Art, Evidence-Based Design. My art was also on the Jan/Feb 2025 cover of Healthcare Design Magazine.
By 2050, an estimated 70% of the world’s population will live in cities. My Smart City Art series promotes this planet-healing idea. I also worked in Tokyo as an English rewriter for the anime/animation industry, which included working on a Studio Ghibli film before it got sold to Disney. I believe this influence comes out in my Smart City Art abstracts. In 2026, I will be going to China for three months to paint beautiful Shanghai and sustainability.
I also love creating commissioned art. I love combining my art talent with a client's vision to create a new work of art. It's challenging but so much fun!
