About this artwork
In creating this vibrant acrylic masterpiece, I dipped into the lively essence of both expressionism and impressionism to capture the jubilant dance of springtime flowers against a blush sky. Each stroke and speckle is meant to evoke the ephemeral bloom of life, stirring a sense of joy and renewal in the viewer. This painting will breathe a burst of refreshing energy into any space, making it come alive with the promise of new beginnings.

In this painting above, I used evidence-based design strategies and guidelines to create art that triggers the brain to create happiness (dopamine) chemicals. I am an evidence-based design (EDAC) certified artist and author of the book, 100 Days Of Happy Happy Art, Evidence-Based Design. We now have the technology to study our brains on art.

I am a bestselling polymath painter. My floral art is based on actual medical/scientific studies on health and happiness. In 2024, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine interviewed me for my “happy” art and my book, 100 Days Of Happy Happy Art, Evidence-Based Design. My art was also on the Jan/Feb 2025 cover of Healthcare Design Magazine.
By 2050, an estimated 70% of the world’s population will live in cities. My Smart City Art series promotes this planet-healing idea. I also worked in Tokyo as an English rewriter for the anime/animation industry, which included working on a Studio Ghibli film before it got sold to Disney. I believe this influence comes out in my Smart City Art abstracts. In 2026, I will be going to China for three months to paint beautiful Shanghai and sustainability.
I also love creating commissioned art. I love combining my art talent with a client's vision to create a new work of art. It's challenging but so much fun!
