About this artwork
In this vibrant work, I have merged acrylic, felt and spray paint to create a vivid scene that encapsulates the spirit of pop art and comics. Figurative figures spring forth with striking energy, intertwined in a visual dialogue about truth and illusion. The vibrant colors and bold shapes bring to life a story that invites reflection and questions about human nature. This art will breathe infectious excitement into any space, capturing the eyes and… imagination.
« For my part, painting and drawing is my daily life. I live as I paint or vice versa. »
Eddy Vitalone, born in 1984 in Moulins, is a French painter whose unique style, which he calls Pop Baroque, fuses Baroque aesthetics with pop culture icons. A graduate of the Clermont-Ferrand School of Fine Arts in 2007, he features characters like Bugs Bunny, Scrooge McDuck, and Betty Boop in rich compositions full of humor and nostalgia. Working with acrylics and spray paint on canvas or plexiglass, he creates works where pictorial theater and the collective imagination converge. Represented by more than 23 galleries and exhibited in a dozen countries, he has participated in numerous international art fairs such as Art Verona, Scope Miami, and Art Montpellier. His emblematic works, such as "The Mad Dash" and "Scrooge McDuck's Dream," question our relationship to modern myths and consumer society. Active on Instagram (@eddyvitalone), he regularly shares his creations with a loyal international audience.
