About this artwork
In this work, I sought to capture the essence of calm and serenity through abstraction of forms and a subtle interplay of colors. The layering of blue tones and the dark triangular shape evokes a kind of balance between tranquility and unexplored mysteries. My intention was to create a space where the observer can momentarily lose themselves, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This painting, inviting reflection and introspection, will… add a dimension that is both peaceful and profound to any living space.
Edita Rakauskaite, a master painter and graduate of the Vilnius Academy of Arts, works in oil and acrylic on canvas. Her almost abstract realism is poeticized through transformations of motif, composition, color, and texture, placing paramount importance on space and light. Her vivid, colorful canvases with minimal geometric composition express the diversity of the world and evoke comfort and liveliness through symbols of nature, the sea, and fragments of the city.
