About this artwork
Clay Statue of Goddess Athena, to honor Her Presence and Wisdom, Beauty and Nobility... I feel a close relation with the Ancient World and so with the Ancient Gods and Goddesses... I have sculpted Athena here with her Owl, her Spear or Sceptre of Power, her symbolic helmet and her sword. Her eyes are of real diamonds, on her forehead there is a beautiful blue kyanite, the helmet and other details of the spear are made with real silver wire, there…
is also a colored copper wire used to stabilise the owl, as if to create a bif of a seat for the Owl... there are four little crystals on the sword's handle... my companion and I, we found them in Nature when living in Ibiza... The Owl has garnet eyes .... on the Spear I used some magical runes to further enhance the power of the sculpture... I wished for Athena here to be really alive, perhaps not at all perfect but alive... so there are imperfections here and there but I have felt that it was finished as it is.
