About this artwork
When I created Crimson Space, I was immersed in the feeling of a living, breathing universe — a space where light, energy, and celestial forms continuously emerge and dissolve. I wanted to convey the sensation of looking into a distant cosmic atmosphere where new worlds are born.
Luminous crimson, burgundy, pink, and golden tones form a textured abstract composition filled with depth, movement, and light. At the center, a glowing form reminiscent… of a distant planet appears suspended within an expansive cosmic field.
Crimson Space is part of my Living Universe series — a collection of abstract works inspired by the connection between inner emotional landscapes and the energy of the universe. This artwork brings warmth, mystery, and a calm atmospheric presence into contemporary interiors.

Inspired by the shifting light of the Baltic Sea, my work explores light, depth, and space.
I create atmospheric paintings where color and texture form a quiet, contemplative presence.
My works are conceived as focal points for refined contemporary interiors.
Elena Gerasimova is a Latvian contemporary artist and Honorary Member of the International Academy of Contemporary Art, as well as a member of the Professional Union of Artists and the Unified Register of Professional Artists.
Her artistic journey began with a spiritual blessing that continues to shape her exploration of harmony and light. Over more than 30 years of practice, she has developed a distinctive visual language bridging classical discipline and contemporary abstraction. Her works are held in private collections across Europe and are valued for their luminous atmosphere and enduring presence.
