About this artwork
When I created Two Waves, I was inspired by the rhythmic movement of the Baltic Sea. I watched the water as two waves gently reached toward each other, meeting for a brief, beautiful moment before parting again. That quiet dialogue of harmony and connection stayed with me, and I wanted to capture it on canvas.
Soft layers of shimmering blues and silvers flowed naturally under my brush, echoing the sea’s calm rhythm and subtle emotional depth. For… me, this painting reflects how beauty is born in moments of encounter — where strength and gentleness coexist.
Two Waves is an original painting from my Exciting Moments series, dedicated to fleeting yet meaningful moments of connection and inner resonance. Hand-signed by the artist, this one-of-a-kind artwork brings tranquility, emotional presence, and refined movement into contemporary interiors and private collections.

Elena Gerasimova is a Latvian contemporary artist and Honorary Member of the International Academy of Contemporary Art, as well as a member of the Professional Union of Artists and the Unified Register of Professional Artists.
Her artistic journey began with a spiritual blessing that continues to shape her exploration of harmony and light. Over more than 30 years of practice, she has developed a distinctive visual language bridging classical discipline and contemporary abstraction. Her works are held in private collections across Europe and are valued for their luminous atmosphere and enduring presence.
