About this artwork
In this piece, I poured my emotions into the swirling lilac clouds gently embracing the sea, capturing a fleeting moment of peaceful transition. Using acrylic, I aimed to bring a dreamy softness that invites calm and reflection. This artwork radiates a serene energy, perfect for transforming any space into a tranquil haven where imagination and calm meet in perfect harmony.
Elena Gozunova is an emerging artist living and working in Latvia. Elena’s journey into contemporary art began in 2021, coming from an engineering background. During the pandemic, she discovered inspiration and a renewed sense of purpose through painting. From 2021 to 2024, Elena completed several online courses in textured painting taught by Kristina Brilkova, as well as a series of ink art classes by Diana Gorbach. She also studied oil painting under local artist Natalja Matveeva in Liepaja, Latvia, and participated in masterclasses led by Swiss painter Maks Skoblinsky in Italy. Elena has explored various techniques, taken part in group exhibitions, and gradually developed her own signature style using alcohol inks. Her work continues the tradition of impressionism while living in metamodernism, inviting the viewer to become a co-creator. Elena’s artworks are held in private collections in Latvia, Russia, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Sweden, Israel, USA, Canada.
