This painting is about womanhood — about strength and fragility intertwined.
Her face is lifted upward, as if searching for breath after a storm, yet also surrendering to all that has shaped her. From her being, streams of paint burst out — like scars, like memories, like a fire that cannot be extinguished.
This woman is not idealized — she is real. In the curve of her neck, in the tilt of her head, in her half-open lips, there is both pain and release.… She has endured, and that is what makes her beautiful.
“Beautiful Trauma” is my vision of femininity: the ability to turn wounds into strength, tears into beauty, and pain into light. Her scars do not diminish her — they make her alive, authentic, profound.
For me, this painting is a confession that a woman does not need to be flawless. Her beauty lies in her story, in her courage to lift her head and keep living despite the marks she carries.
